Advisers to

Clinical, research and regulatory advisers work with Rephobia Limited, the company behind ReAnxiety. They advise the company. They do not approve therapists, read requests or oversee anyone’s care on ReAnxiety, and they are separate from the therapist you book with.

What our research
covers so far

Our research so far has been on fear of heights, with Queen’s University Belfast. Nothing has been tested for social anxiety, panic or agoraphobia.

44People took part in Rephobia’s study with QUB, about fear of heights
5Height scenes Rephobia built for that study
NoneStudies of social anxiety, panic or agoraphobia so far

What the study looked at

The study compared two ways of facing heights in virtual reality. The people who took part did not have a diagnosed phobia, so the findings tell us what people experienced and how the two formats differed.

Rephobia asked for and paid for the study. QUB researchers designed it, collected the data and did the analysis on their own.

What it means for ReAnxiety

The study was about fear of heights. Rephobia Limited has not tested anything for social anxiety, panic or agoraphobia, and the findings say nothing about ReAnxiety.

Careful with what we build

Clinical responsibility

A qualified therapist decides whether their approach is right for you and leads your treatment. Rephobia Limited reviews each therapist’s professional details and approves them for anxiety before any request reaches them.

Evidence

Everything Rephobia Limited has studied so far concerns fear of heights. ReAnxiety has no results of its own, and this site claims none.

Your information

Our privacy notice explains what we collect when you send a request, who can see it and how it is kept.

For therapists

If you are a therapist who works with social anxiety, panic or agoraphobia, you can join through our site for clinicians. You review requests, offer a first appointment and keep the plan you agree with each person.

How you join
You give your professional details and the pathways you want to work in. A reviewer at Rephobia Limited approves your scope before any request reaches you.
Anxiety scope
Approval for anxiety is separate from approval for phobias, OCD or PTSD. Requests sent through ReAnxiety reach only therapists whose approved scope covers anxiety.
What you decide
Whether to offer a first appointment, ask the person a question first, or decline. After the first appointment you can propose a treatment plan for the person to agree.
What is not decided yet
We will publish fees, payment, indemnity and supervision arrangements once they are agreed. Email us to ask where things stand.

Tell a therapist what you want to change

Write a few sentences about what you want to be able to do. A therapist who works with anxiety reads it and, if they can help, offers a first online appointment.

Sending a request is free, and you hear back either way.
